This unit, for Year 3, is designed to promote the use of technology to develop meaningful links with schools around the world. Using a wide variety of geographical resources - web pages, emails and digital imagery - pupils investigate lifestyles and collect and exchange data on home and school routines. Forging school links in this way will enable your pupils to develop profiles for children from different cultural backgrounds. They will exchange information about curricular and extra-curricular activities, hobbies and interests, favourite pastimes, television programmes and cartoon characters, clothes and diets with their counterparts in locations near and far.

The children can present their research using a range of media, for example posters, leaflets, PowerPoint and interactive whiteboard presentations.
