This book is aimed at non-specialists in geography and ICT.
It is designed to encourage you and your colleagues to use ICT in an illuminating way to find out about your locality and compare the findings with other places. It demonstrates the relationship between geographical work and the ICT strands of gathering, handling and presenting information and shows you how to plan an enquiry which incorporates ICT and develops pupils' IT capability.
The book builds on the content of QCA and TTA publications on schemes of work and the use of ICT in subject teaching, and complements the GA/Becta booklet 'Planning for ICT and geography at Key Stage 1 and 2'.
