Secondary Activities - Karakoram Highway

This image shows the Karakoram Highway as it winds through the mountain range of the same name in northern Pakistan.

The Karakoram Highway offers students an opportunity to investigate the importance of routes as communications links.

Development of such mountainous areas is also an issue that students could focus on using this image.
