The National Association for Environmental Education (NAEE) supports and promotes environmental education (EE) by providing advice and practical ways of delivering EE via the curriculum to teachers and sharing good practice through a termly e-journal.

National Collection of Freshwater Sites
Organised as part of the UN International Year of Freshwater - The National Collection is a 'living' online archive of photographs depicting freshwater locations from across the UK.

National Council for Geographic Education

Based in Washington DC, the NCGE promotes and celebrates geographic teaching and learning. Their activities include conducting and gathering research, producing journals and other geography publications, developing teaching resources, providing professional development opportunities, and organising an annual conference.

National Curriculum Website
This website replaces older National Curriculum websites and has been improved and expanded to include National Curriculum Online and National Curriculum in Action. On this site you can find guidance and tools for curriculum development and design, case studies of the curriculum in action, current and future programmes of study and examples of pupils' work.

National Foundation for Educational Research
The NFER is an independent body undertaking research and development projects in all sectors of the public education system. The site provides information about research, NFER publications and services.

National Geographic
The National Geographic Society provides a wealth of images and information on topics and issues from adventure and exploration to weather and natural forces. The map machine section has maps, flags and information such as population, religion and language for any country.

National Grid for Learning
This NGfL web portal is the responsibility of Becta and provides links to sites approved for their educational value.

National Maritime Museum Cornwall
This site is useful if you are considering a school visit in the area.

National Statistics Online
Official statistics reflecting Britain's economy, population and society at national and local level. Summary stories and detailed data releases are published here free of charge.

National Trust
Contains details of National Trust properties and places to visit, conservation, projects and information on getting involved.

Natural England
From the beginning of October 2006 English Nature, the environment activities of the Rural Development Service and the Countryside Agency's Landscape, Access and Recreation division will be united in a single body called Natural England.

Natural History Museum
Includes lively interactive features and information from the Natural History Museum. Worth a visit if you're planning a field trip in London.

Nature on the Map
Forms part of Natural England's website, but is a specific mapping area that shows National Nature Reserves, protected sites and areas of semi-natural habitat.

Northern Ireland CCEA
The NI Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment is responsible for assessment at key stages 1 to 3 and conducts public examinations at 16-19.

Northmoor Trust
The Northmoor Trust welcomes school groups to its estate in South Oxfordshire. Explore the nature reserve, conservation grade farm, Wittenham Clumps and new interactive visitor centre, Project Timescape.

Nova Online
A collection of photos, screen-savers and information about rivers and flooding around the world.

Nuffield Citizenship
Resources on The Nuffield Foundation's 'Citizenship Through Geography' pages were created in collaboration with the GA. Visit the site for units on flooding, consumer power, understanding the EU and housing.
