Where in the world is Barnaby Bear? This fun website is a work in progress but is worth a visit for the interactive maps and great photos of Barnaby in different locations.

BBC Active
BBC Active publishes a host of resources to support primary geography teaching including the Whiteboard Active and iPoster ranges.

BBC Bitesize Revision
Information, tests, quizzes and games to help revision from age 7 to 16.

BBC Schools Online
This website provides information, resources, programme support and links for primary and secondary teachers. Geography can be found in both primary and secondary sections.

BBC Schools TV Guide
Guide for schools television programmes on the BBC.

BBC Webcams
If you're in the UK and you want to find a webcam look no further. This site includes a map showing the location of webcams across England, and includes links to ones in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Becta
Becta is the Government's lead agency ICT in education and is responsible for developing the National Grid for Learning. The website contains a range of information and guidance of interest to schools on the use of ICT in education as well as notification of competitions and awards for ICT-related projects.

BigBarn
A DEFRA sponsored website giving information about local produce. Features an interactive map based system for finding your local food producers.

Bigfoto.com
An excellent selection of photographs which can be downloaded and used for free. Lots of backgrounds for use in presentations.

Birchfield Interactive
A developer of interactive educational software titles for primary and secondary school teachers and pupils. Birchfield uses interactive multimedia to engage pupils and enhance subject and revision learning. All software titles can be used for classroom teaching on interactive whiteboards and standalone computers for individual learning.

Bizzikids
A site for children which includes help with homework, fun learning games and activities.

Bolt Education
Provider of GeogITs - 'discreet 40-minute interactive web-based learning activities' which can be purchased with e-learning credits. A free sample is available on the website.

BrainPOP UK

A subscription-based educational website with hundreds of short animated movies, interactive quizzes, and thousands of printable materials covering geography topics from across the curriculum.

British Cartographic Society

This website promotes all aspects of cartography to a wide range of potential users and includes a forum, gallery and Junior Mapmakers section (under construction at time of writing).

British Education Index
Information resource dedicated to supporting the professional study of education. currently contains references to over 170,000 items, including journal articles and internet resources.

British Geological Survey
With information for schools and students including a geological timechart and an 'ask about geology' section.

British Isles continuous GNSS Facility (BIGF)
This NERC-funded Facility archives GNSS data, GPS, Glonass, and when available, Galileo, from over 150 continuously recording reference stations sited throughout the UK, including all OSGB stations. Data are requested via an online form at the website.

British Library
The national centre for reference, study, and bibliographic and other information services, in relation both to scientific and technological matters and to the humanities.

British Society for Geomorphology
Formerly the British Geomorphological Research Group (BGRG). The BSG is the professional organisation for British geomorphologists and provides a community and services for those involved in teaching or research in geomorphology, both in the UK and overseas.

BT Education
The BT Education website which has some resources for Citizenship.
