Uckfield Case Study: Maps & Data

This page contains maps and data sources which can be dowloaded and used in the classroom.

These include:

  • An outline map of the catchment and of Uckfield - left blank for annotation
  • An Excel file of water level and rainfall data for autumn 2000 from Isfield, a recording site south of Uckfield. This data can be used to draw hydrographs.
  • Maps: historic, 2000 flood outline in Uckfield. (Catchment maps can be found on the Catchment Overview page).
  • Short and detailed meteorological synopses.
  • Synoptic charts.
  • Ready prepared four-day hydrograph with Environment Agency trigger levels for flood warnings.
  • Newspaper articles and summary of flood impact.
