Conducting statistical tests for fieldwork
A comprehensive set of statistical calculations and presentations illustrated and demonstrated through videos for secondary and post 16 students and teachers. The intention of the list is to show students and teachers how each of the calculations are made.
The clips should be previewed prior to being used or suggested to students to check their suitability and availability. The best videos have been selected for each of the calculations. Most of the techniques are demonstrated first by hand and then using a spreadsheet to automate and speed the calculation.
Some of the videos are aimed at mathematicians, however the same techniques apply when conducting research in the field.

Pages 4 and 5 in this publication provide a very helpful key to choosing the appropriate statistical test for particular research purposes.
