Why Argue?
‘The policy of “local solutions” is oriented to finding ways to put teachers together and buy them time away from their busy work places in order for them to create innovative responses to significant curriculum and pedagogic challenges’ (David Lambert, Chief Executive, Geographical Association).

Part of the GA’s work at a local level is an involvement in Geography & English and Geography & Science ‘Why argue?’ projects.
The GA is running the key stage 3 ‘Geography & English: Why argue?’ in partnership with the National Association for the Teaching of English (NATE).

The ‘Geography & Science: Why argue?’ project is run by the GA in partnership with the Earth Science Teachers Association (ESTA) and the Earth Centre and is focused on key stage 4.
Both projects are based primarily in South Yorkshire. Further information on each project can be accessed via the navigation bar on the left.
