Valuing Places - Teacher Creativity
- Teachers who participate on the steering group will develop both as teachers of geography and as global citizens
- Teachers who participate in the regional groups will develop an understanding of the global dimension supported by the creation of curriculum materials and teaching and learning methodologies
- Teachers who participate in the in-service training sessions will be engaged and motivated to think creatively about the value of using place to explore global interconnectedness and the poverty reduction agenda
- Teachers who view the web units will be challenged to explore local global connections, rights and responsibilities with their pupils
- Pupils who are involved in this work, will value the complexity of their own place within their local and global communities.
