Valuing Places
Exploring Global Interconnectedness
Valuing Places was a CPD-led curriculum development project which explored how teaching about places within Key Stages 2 and 3 can develop students' understanding of global interconnections.
The project took place during 2003-06 and was one of the GA's most significant projects to date, paving the way for much of our current work now termed 'Living Geography'.
The Spring 2005 issue of Teaching Geography was a Valuing Places special and contained more than 20 articles related to the project and themes of space, place, identity and interconnectedness. Teaching Geography subscribers can login to download the whole issue.
