E-scape: Background
The e-scape project has its origins in work done in Design and Technology by Professor Richard Kimbell and colleagues at Goldsmiths, University of London.
The work is ongoing with trials of controlled assessments taking place on a national scale, including the involvement of some GCSE Exam Boards.
The D&T work has provided useful lessons for the work in Geography.
This briefing paper provides a summary of the system's key features and was presented to the GA's Secondary Phase Committee at the beginning of the project.
