Teacher's Notes - Base and outline maps

The maps you can download via this page relate to activities outlined in the State of the Nation 2005 - Teacher's notes which utilise data from the Report and CD-Rom of the same name (see online shop) produced by the Local Studies Group.

A labelled map showing all UK Local Authority Districts, County and Unitary authorities (similar to Figure 8 in the State of the Nation - Teacher's notes) can be downloaded from the UK Statistics website.

If printed out in full colour, this map is useful both for display purpose and as reference material for students when utilising the data on the State of the Nation 2005 CD-Rom that accompanies the State of the Nation resources.

Make sure you've got a coffee and some biscuits ready before you start accessing the maps mentioned on this page - because of the nature of the data they contain, they may take some time to download!
