The GA has teamed up with the BBC to help your KS3 students bring their geographies to the screen:

My World in 60 Seconds is a film project to create an alternative guide to our world, a guide that is created by you. We want to re-present the world as people know it, so we're looking for young people to make short films that are thought provoking, insightful and engaging'.

The BBC has now relaxed the rules regarding format and you are now able to submit your film on MiniDV, High Quality DVD or as a Quicktime Movie. Further information, entry form and posters are available on the My World in 60 Seconds page.

They are looking for full time teachers who are prepared to undertake a science project in the harshest of conditions - temperatures down to -40c! Applicants must also be prepared to raise a five figure sum to contribute to the expedition's costs and to write up their science project and produce teaching materials, all of which will be published on the web.

Register your interest with janinehider@bullexpeditions.com (01623 884322) or on the Bull Precision Expeditions Ltd website, or via the Fuchs Foundation website. The deadline for applications is 20 March 2009.
