Welcome to the Teacher Education (GTIP) Area
This part of the GA website is designed to support geography teacher educators. It provides a wealth of ideas, resources, reading lists and weblinks. Some parts of GTIP, particularly the Think Pieces and the Library, may be of interest to a wider audience of mentors, teachers and PGCE students and to geography teacher educators in other countries.

Geography Education Research Collective
GEReCo is a group of teacher educators dedicated to the promotion of geography education through research and publication. Find out more about the group members, their aims and recent activities.
Call for papers
The European Journal of Geography (EJG) seeks original manuscripts for publication. EJG is an international, peer reviewed, online journal focussing on all aspects of research and application of Geography with a European Dimension. The Editorial Panel encourages submissions from researchers in disciplines and domains that include studies related to Geography in Europe and European Geography.
Education of Hope: Call for papers
The UK ITE Network for Education for Sustainable Development / Global Citizenship Third Annual Conference is now accepting papers on the following theme: 'Education of Hope: the impact of ESD/GC on the well being of teachers and young people'. Submission deadline: 26 February 2010.
MA APSE
The Sheffield University MA in Applied Professional Studies in Education is an exciting new programme which is run in partnership with nine subject associations (including the GA) and local authorities. It is supported by the Training and Development Agency for Schools as part of its Postgraduate Professional Development (PPD) programme.
All students on the APSE course are entitled to free GA membership.

The Geographical Association's free online journal for geography ITE tutors is available to view online.

These articles are intended to inform, to encourage reflection on a range of themes, and to provide practical support for tutors planning PGCE sessions.
