Images of Southern Africa
In August 2003, the GA’s International Committee organised a study tour to South Africa. The images below, taken by members of that tour, have been selected to reflect some of the varying geographies of South Africa and Lesotho.
The images, commentaries and ideas for further exploration are aimed primarily at post-16 students but, with increased teacher input, they can be used with younger students. Kevin L Cook March 2004

We are grateful to Brian Bates, Fiona Brierley, Sue and Chris Kington, and Christine and Derek Spooner for letting us make use of their images. We are also grateful to members of the GA’s International Committee and to Dr Alan Lester of Sussex University for their comments on the descriptions that accompany these images.
