Day conference on fieldwork and controlled assessment in conjunction with the GA Independent Schools Working Group. The day will be a mixture of visits, workshops and lectures. The visits will include Shrewsbury's flood defences and Bayston Hill Quarry, speakers will include Mr Robert Kynaston, a local farmer and Dr. Helen Gadsby of Liverpool Hope University. Led by the Prince's Teaching Institute, this day will involve workshops and visits around the Olympics site that will test the vision that led to East London winning the bid. The Keynote Speaker is Richard Sumray MBE, Chair, London 2012 Forum who was instrumental in shaping the bid. Alan Kinder, Chair of the GA Education Committee, will then work with delegates to devise a range of fieldwork techniques and strategies to allow them to familiarise themselves with the sites and test the vision. Sustainable Schools: A Workshop to Empower Participants to Create a Reduction in Carbon Emissions in their Schools Through Dynamic Sustainable Change
