Oxfam Active Global Citzenship Conferences

Oxfam's conferences give young people aged 14-17 the confidence to take action in their community and beyond, through interactive workshops, passionate debates, and first-hand accounts from Oxfam programme staff. CAT Humanities Conference

Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), Machynlleth
The Education Department at CAT is running a training day for humanities teachers to help them deliver the developing curriculum with a particular focus on how each humanities subject can be related to ESD(GC). The course will be targeted at KS3 and 4 teaching but some of the learning will give teachers the background information necessary to teach at a higher or lower level. Breaking Through the Concrete: Urban forest schools and inspirational outdoor learning in London

With new government initiatives all schools have to demonstrate learning outside the classroom, which can prove to be challenging in urban areas. This conference explores how educational settings can create enabling and inspirational outdoor environments for children to learn and play in an urban context.
