The GA's 2013 Annual Conference in Derby will include a series of sessions focusing on and reporting recent research into geographical education.
There is scope within the sessions for papers on different types of research, for example action research into teacher's own practice, ethnographic classroom research or research into particular aspects of curriculum or assessment.
The papers should be relevant to teachers of geography in primary or secondary schools or in FE colleges, as well as fellow researchers in the field of geography education.
If you are interested in presenting a paper reporting your research, please send an abstract of no more than 200 words to Lucy Oxley by 7 September 2012.
We are currently seeking PGCEs and NQTs to present Teacher-to-Teacher sessions at the 2013 GA Annual Conference.
These innovative, 20-minute sessions offer you a unique opportunity for professional conversation about what you do best. The GA encourages less formal exchange of teaching ideas and experiences and wants to ensure that PGCEs and NQTs have a chance to share and celebrate their often innovative and stimulating materials with other teachers.
If you're interested in getting involved please contact Lucy Oxley by 7 September 2012.
Please note that the deadline for lecture and workshop proposals for the 2013 Annual Conference has now passed. Thank you to everyone who submitted a session proposal.
