Getting Involved

The GA welcomes the involvement of members and non-members in our activities. Members can benefit from a greater involvement in a wide range of activities, for example they can:

  • become a member of a Committee and/or join a Working Group
  • be nominated for Officer posts, and vote in GA elections
  • become a GA Consultant (see below)

    GA Consultants

The 'Teacher Consultants' register is now the 'GA Consultants' register. This is to recognise that the register encompasses not only teachers but lecturers, consultants, advisers and many others who share a desire to use their expertise to further the study, learning and teaching of geography.

The consultants register enables us to offer freelance curriculum development work, lectures and a range of related activities to GA consultants whose work we know is high quality. Using the register enables us to match their areas of expertise with the range of requests we receive.

Being part of a community will enable you to show expertise and ideas within a supportive framework. The GA welcomes the involvement of members in all our activities. For more information or if you are interested in becoming a GA Consultant please download the document below.
