Sustainability and Citizenship Special Interest Group
Chair: Angus Willson
SCSIG furthers the aims of the GA with regard to the teaching of sustainability and citizenship education through geography. It explores ideas for geography's contribution towards creating and adopting more sustainable lifestyles and active participation in communities.
What we do
The group of teachers, lecturers, researchers and consultants holds three meetings a year and communicates online. Information and ideas are exchanged with different networks and through the geography community.
Key activities include workshops at the GA Annual Conference and contribution towards publications.
SCSIG was formed in 2012 by the merger of two SIGs concerning Education for Sustainable Development and Citizenship.
For regular online participation join the SCSIG group on the GA NING.
