GA/UEA/PGCE Sixth Form Conference
A series of workshops aimed at sixth form students, presented by the Geography PGCE students at UEA. To be held at the UEA

Monday 5 March 2012
Cliff Retreat on the North Norfolk Coast between Weybourne & Happisburgh
David Stannard
The talk will consider the processes and rates of erosion, including unpublished research data. David Stannard was Head of Geography at CNS for many years and has recently retired as Chairperson of the Norfolk GA Committee. Recommended for KS4/5 geography students or anyone with an interest in coastal process along the Norfolk coastline.

Prof. Phil Jones from the Climatic Research Unit at UEA
This is highly recommended for KS4/5 geography students as well as those with a general interest in geograpical issues.

KS3 event - Orienteering at Gresham High School, Holt

Recommended for KS3 geography school groups to help improve map skills and have some fun in the field! Light refreshments can be provided. Please contact Dominic Atkinson (Head of Geography at Greshams High School) if you would like to involve a school group 01263 714607.

Entry fee for GA meetings is £3.00 or £1.00 for students. Free entry for members.

GA members can attend RGS East Anglia Region meetings free of charge and vice versa. For RGS events see www.rgs.org/events or contact Mike Hand.
