With an increasingly varied and popular range of events and activities run by the CDGA each year, we would like our members to design a logo for us. This will be used on our newsletters and website alongside the current logo showing affiliation to the national GA.
To help guide your entry:
We look forward to hearing from you.
These logos should give you some inspiration for the competition. Thanks to the owners for permission to use them here.
On Tuesday 22 November, 20 teams piled into the hall at Long Road Sixth Form College to take part in the Cambridge and District Branch WorldWise Quiz. Hosted by expert compare Dave Castell, this year's competition went right to the wire as a team from Sawston Village College overtook Oundle in the penultimate question with an inspired gamble in identifying Swansea as the 'hidden city'. Well done to Sawston who collect the Dave Booth trophy for their school.
Our thanks go to Dave for organising the event and writing the questions (the OS map round gave us an interesting peep into the early coal and iron industries in the Welsh valleys!), as well as to our sponsors for the second year running, Open Air Cambridge.
